sorry its been so long

Hey everyone, Things have been absoluty crazy here with the Hurricane. Tonight is the first night we have had power since last tues. It keeps coming on and off, and the internet and cell service is horrible. The hurricane has been a disater in the places we serve. I am still processing alot of what has happened, and Im not sure how and where to start. I havnt really had a good nights sleep in week and a half, so I am going to keep it short tonight. But I will fill you all in very soon. The Rios were we serve are completly destroyed. Nothing is left at Rio 3. I have a lot of Video footage of Rio 3 and I am working on getting it uploaded. Here is a video of our property after the hurricane. We are estimating about $70,000 of damage over the entire ministry. There wasnt much damage at the Childrens homes, but the Rios took the worst of the storm.Today it finally stoped raining, but we have another storm coming these next 2 days.
We have been reparing the property, and getting it ready for the next storm. I thank you all for your prayers, and blessings, and I ask that you please continue to keep the people in the Rios in your prayers. I trust God in all this, and I am seeking him in all the distaster. I feel as if he is testing my Faith in this a bit, and making sure I truly trust him. It is hard when I see people suffering, and homeless, but I know God will prevale in there hearts as well as mine if I Believe in Him. Please be praying for my physical and spiritual strength. Sorry for the short blog, wanted to let you all know I was alive. Not sure when the electric will be on or off, so I will blog if we have it tomorrow. I will upload somemore videos and I promise fill you all in.
Much Love
Adam

  2. It is so good to finally hear from you! The property damage is terrible...I couldn't believe it from your video. But at least everyone is safe! I can't imagine what you are going to see when you go to the Rio...those poor people had nothing to begin with and now what little they had is all gone! It breaks my heart to even think about it. We will continue to pray for you and everyone else in Mexico. Take care of yourself!! We love you! Love Lynn

  4. I heard about the next storm coming in down there and wanted to cry.
    MORE RAIN?!?! REALLY?! Ugh.
I miss you all so much. And I'm praying for you all like crazy.
Out of these ashes, beauty will rise. Jesus will show His glory in this disaster. He already has in many ways.
I'm praying for the hearts of all you interns down there having to stick it out and see all the devestation first hand. Take heart, for He has overcome the world. (John 16:33)
Sending my love, prayers, and thoughts your way!

P.S. I think I left my heart in Mexico. Could you send it back home with me? Hhahaha

  5. Adam,

Glad to hear that you're safe. We missed you on 4th of July, but were happy when Liz said that she'd talked to you and you were safe. We will keep everyone in our prayers. It's easy to lose perspective of how good we have it up here.

Make sure to take care of yourself, too, so that you can take care of others.

    AMDG,

    Lee

  6. Adam,

I'm so thankful you are safe and doing as well as you are. I can't believe the devistation on your video. We are so blessed and don't always realize how fortunate we really are. This puts our lives in perspective. You and all the people in Mexico are in our prayes. Stay safe and take care of your self.
    We love you,
    Aunt Annette
