The roads here in mexico dont have sewer systems to collect the water. so the roads just flood. Here are some pics from today. I swipped a couple of them of one of my friend Cassie's Blog. It is crazy to see this, and how people drive through it. When we got back, we began hooking up generators and water pumps. I am not sure how much longer we will have power so this could be my last blog for a couple days. I will keep you posted on the situation down here. sad thing is that this is only the beginging. The storm actually hits tomorrow afternoon. Our campus has already begun to flood, and out cieling leaks in our room. But I trust you God. You have got something planned up there, I just know it.
Please keep the people in the Rios in your prayers.

The verse Matthew 18:3 says "And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven."
One thing I have learned About the Bible, is that each verse holds something incredable. It is usually not always obvious, but God never says it will be easy. John 16:33 in this world you will have troubles, but take heart, I have overcome the world. He wants us to think, and to be stumped sometimes. If it just came to us, it wouldnt mean as much.
Children dont always worry about things, they are more trusting and just go with the flow. I think that God is telling us to be like that with him. Not to worry about tomorrow of yesterday, and to accept things for what they are, trusting God that what has happened is his will. A childs heart is so fragile, as I have learned down here. But when they are determined to do something, they do it, regardless of the consequences, and regardless to what others think of them. I know that I am always worring about what others think of me, and I constantly consult others to see what they think, and if that sounds good, or right. But God wants us to to stop relying on people all the time and Just trust him in every situation.
Hope this helps. This what I got from it.
Those pictures are amazing! I can't believe how devistating the rain is down there. I also can't even begin to imagine what the Rio's must look like. You, B2B and all of Mexico are in our prayers! Keep yourself safe!!
ReplyDeleteWe love you!

Hi Adam,
ReplyDeleteI am very sorry to hear you are suffering from all the rain and flooding. You have enough problems down there without all those additional problems. You Mom and Dad came to visit me tonight and went to church with me. They told me they made contact with you, but you are still without internet or cell phone coverage. I am glad that you called them to tell them you are okay. I am very, very proud of you and cannot wait until you come home.
much love

Hey Adam,
ReplyDeleteI hope all of you are staying safe. I really hope our trip gets to come down and help. I have a feeling our help would be coming at a much needed time (not that they didn't need help before now). It just serves as a reminder that we don't always have control over everything. You all are in our prayers. See you soon!
Laura
